Pico Ethernet Motherboard (MHS105860)

The Pico Ethernet Motherboard allows customers to fully test and deploy the pX2 modules without the need to develop custom PCB interface solutions. The integrated socket allows for quick replacement of modules, and the standard RS232 Serial and RJ45 Ethernet interfaces ensure quick connection to field devices.

Overview

XTend RF modules provide unprecedented range in a low-cost wireless data solution. The modules are easy-to-use, require minimal power and provide reliable delivery of critical data between devices. They are also available in the smaller XBee SMT form factor, ideal for applications that are tight on PCB space.

The XTend module utilizes FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) agility to avoid interference by hopping to a new frequency on every packet transmission or re-transmission. Its transmit power is software adjustable from 100 mW to 1 W—the maximum output power allowable by governments that use 900 MHz as a license-free band. The XTend module is approved for use in the United States, Canada, Australia and other countries (contact Digi for a complete listing).

Overview
Digi XBee DigiMesh 2.4 delivers end-point device connectivity with a globally deployable 2.4 GHz transceiver. These modules use the innovative DigiMesh networking protocol. This innovative, peer-to-peer protocol offers users added network stability through self-healing, dense network operation and with a very low housekeeping overhead, it is capable of extending the operational life of battery dependent networks.

Digi XBee modules are ideal for low-power, low-cost applications. Digi XBee-PRO modules are power-amplified versions of Digi XBee modules for extended-range applications. Part of the Digi XBee family of RF products, these modules are easy-to-use, share a common hardware footprint, and are fully interoperable with other XBee products utilizing the same technology. Module users have the ability to substitute one Digi XBee for another with minimal development time and risk.

The updated Digi XBee S2C DigiMesh 2.4 module is built with the SiliconLabs EM357 SoC and offers improved power consumption, support for over-the-air firmware updates, and provides an upgrade path to IEEE 802.15.4 or ZigBee® mesh protocols if desired.

Overview

Digi XBee RF modules provide OEMs with a common footprint shared by multiple platforms, including multipoint and ZigBee/ Mesh topologies, and both 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz solutions. OEMs deploying the XBee can substitute one Digi XBee for another, depending upon dynamic application needs, with minimal development, reduced risk and shorter time-to-market.

Digi XBee 802.15.4 RF modules are ideal for applications requiring low latency and predictable communication timing. Providing quick, robust communication in point-to-point, peer-to-peer, and multipoint/star configurations, Digi XBee 802.15.4 products enable robust end-point connectivity with ease. XBee 802.15.4 modules seamlessly interface with compatible gateways, device adapters and range extenders, providing developers with true beyond-the-horizon connectivity.

The updated Digi XBee S2C 802.15.4 module is built with the SiliconLabs EM357 SoC and offers improved power consumption, support for over-the-air firmware updates, and provides an upgrade path to DigiMesh® or ZigBee® mesh protocols if desired.

Overview

Digi XBee-PRO 900HP embedded modules provide best-in-class range wireless connectivity to devices. They take advantage of the DigiMesh® networking protocol, featuring dense network operation and support for sleeping routers, and are also available in a proprietary point-to-multipoint configuration. Supporting RF line-of-sight ranges up to 28 miles (with high-gain antennas), and data rates of up to 200 Kbps, these modules are ideal for extended-range applications requiring increased data throughput.

The Digi XBee-PRO 900HP requires no programming and can be configured easily using Digi’s free XCTU software or via a simplified AT command set. Digi XBee modules are pre-certified for use in multiple countries, further reducing development costs and time to market.

Overview Part

Digi XBee and Digi XBee-PRO ZigBee RF modules provide cost effective wireless connectivity to electronic devices. They are interoperable with other ZigBee PRO feature set devices, including devices from other vendors*. Digi ZigBee Development Kits are the perfect way to begin ZigBee application development.

Digi XBee and Digi XBee-PRO ZigBee modules are ideal for applications in the energy and controls markets where manufacturing efficiencies are critical. The Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) provides a high-speed interface and optimizes integration with embedded microcontrollers, lowering development costs and reducing time to market.

Products in the Digi XBee family require little to no configuration or additional development. Programmable versions of the Digi XBee and Digi XBee-PRO ZigBee module make customizing applications easy. Programming directly on the module eliminates the need for a separate processor. Because the wireless software is isolated, applications can be developed with no risk to RF performance or security.

Digi’s ZigBee compatible module is based on the Ember EM35x (EM357 and EM3587) system on chip (SoC) radio ICs from SiliconLabs, utilizing 32-bit ARM CortexTM M3 processor. The S2D EM3587 version has a larger memory footprint for customers who may want to upgrade to Thread, an IPv6 based networking stack.

Overview

Digi XBee SX 900 MHz RF modules are the muscle modules of the Digi XBee ecosystem, providing a combination of reliability and redundancy for OEMs building low-power, mission-critical wireless devices. They utilize the DigiMesh® networking protocol, featuring redundant mesh network operation and support for low-power sleeping nodes. Customers that don’t require mesh network architecture can configure the SX to operate in simple point to multipoint mode. With RF line-of-sight ranges up to 65 miles and strong interference blocking, these modules are ideal for applications requiring the combination of range, data redundancy, and data reliability.

The Digi XBee SX modules can be configured easily using Digi’s free XCTU software or via Digi’s simplified AT or API command sets. They are pre-certified for use in multiple countries and include integrated antennas, removing the burden of RF development/support costs and enabling fast time to market for OEM designs. The modules provide secure, reliable delivery of critical data between devices with 256-bit AES encryption, and the small Digi XBee Surface Mount form factor saves valuable board space.
